John Agnew Band

Canberra City Band’s Adult Leisure and Development Concert Band. They play a variety of easy music designed for fun and just a hint of a challenge to keep it interesting. If you enjoy playing selections from pop music, film music and just a little from the ‘serious’ concert band repertoire, this is the band for you.

The band is open to:

Anyone who used to play an instrument and wants to get back into the groove;

Students who have finished the IMP programme and want to continue playing with a group; and

Musicians who have started playing a new instrument and need an outlet.

We are looking for woodwind, brass and percussion players who have some playing ability and are able to read music.

We rehearse every Tuesday night from 6.00pm-7.15pm at the Canberra City Band Hall in Watson (the old Watson high school). All ages welcome. For more information, or to join, contact the conductor Sarah Nielsen on sarah@greysen.com.au
