Canberra City Band
Canberra City Band was established in 1925 and has a long standing history as the band of Canberra. Canberra City Band is an A-grade wind ensemble that plays in eisteddfods, regional and national band championships, and events around Canberra and the region.
Players should be at least AMEB Grade 5 or equivalent and are expected to practice between rehearsals ensure the standard of the band remains high.

Spectrum Big Band
Spectrum Big Band is one of Canberra's best non-professional big bands and regularly plays for public and private/corporate events.

John Agnew Band
John Agnew Band is the social concert band of Canberra City Band, Inc. JAB has a strong focus on community and perfecf for those new to playing, those returning to playing and school leavers who want to continue playing.
While a primarily adult band, players under 18 are welcome to join, just get in touch.
The standard of the ensemble is up to band-grade 3 which loosely equates to AMEB grade 3.
They meet every Tuesday evening from 6:00pm-8pm and rehearse a combination of light popular music for various local performances each year, and participate in the annual local eisteddfod. Rehearsals are held at Hawker College.
JAB is non-audition and everyone is welcome to join.
