Canberra City Band and John Agnew Band rehearse on Tuesday nights, and Spectrum Big Band on Monday nights, at Hawker College. Membership is subject to vacancies existing within the respective ensemble.
Canberra City Band
Canberra City Band is an A Grade concert band and is suitable for experienced musicians. It currently has vacancies across all instrument desks and is particularly looking for: Bassoon, all saxophones, trombone, euphonium, trumpet, tuba and piano/keyboard.
John Agnew Band
John Agnew Band is a band with a social-focus perfect for those new to playing or returning to playing after some time away from your instrument. The band has an all-welcome approach to recruitment and is open to all new applicants of concert band instruments.
PRISM Jazz Ensemble
PRISM Jazz Ensemble Agnew Band is social-focus jazz band perfect for those new or returning to to playing, or who want to gain experience and exposure to jazz. The band has an all-welcome approach to recruitment and is open to all new applicants, especially Big Band instruments.
Spectrum Big Band
Spectrum Big Band is a 20 piece jazz ensemble with recruitment by invitation. While all desks are currently full, contact us below to register your interest in being considered for future vacancies or to fill in for absences of current players.
