On the 27th May 2004, a group from Canberra City Band went to Sydney to take part in the Band Association of NSW State Solo & Party Championships. We were represented in the Open Piccolo, Open Clarinet, Open Quartet and Open Ensemble sections, adjudicated by Mr J Campbell. Both Bernie Evans and Thomas Manley won their sections (respectively piccolo and clarinet) and were then entitled to take part in the Open Woodwind Champion of Champions which was held on the same day. Luckily, we managed to take out the Woodwind Champion of Champions! Here are the results:
