Canberra City Band Inc.

Canberra City Band Inc is a volunteer-run community banding organisation that comprises Canberra City Band, John Agnew Band, Spectrum Big Band and Prism Jazz Ensemble. We play regularly across the Canberra region at public and private events including Floriade, the Merimbula Jazz Festival, and the Canberra Carols By Candlelight. You will also find smaller groups of our musicians supporting Brumbies and Raiders games and accompanying Santa parades at Christmas.

CCB Inc has a rich history of supporting the community by providing a place where people come to play music, develop as musicians, make connections and provide music and entertainment for local audiences.

CCB Inc welcomes new musicians to join us at any time. Canberra City Band is an A-Grade concert band that provides an environment for experienced musicians. John Agnew Band is a social concert band and Prism Jazz Ensemble is social jazz band, both suited to new or returning musicians and accepts all new members. Spectrum Big Band is a jazz band for experienced musicians and fills vacancies by invitation and audition but expressions of interest are always welcomed.

Canberra City Band (CCB) was historically coined 'the official band of the ACT' and remains Australia's oldest and longest-running community concert band.
